Nora visited the Orangerie to view the enormous paintings of Monet's water lilies that she saw blooming the day before, and then went to Gare de l'Est to take a train to Riems. While mom purchased tickets she shopped for lunch with dad in the train station. She ate lunch on the train and carried a baguette around all day. In Reims she toured the Cathedral and saw Marc Chagall's stained glass windows and learned about the French kings, but could not tour the tower because it is closed on Mondays. She walked around the ancient part of the city and viewed the fountains and shops, then returned to Paris for an early (8 o'clock) dinner because she had a long travel day in the offing.
