Nora ventured onto an intercity train to Villedieu les Poeles and then connected with an SNCF bus that crossed the Normandy countryside to the shore and to Mont St Michel. Nora and dad rode to the old city via horse-drawn carriage while mom took the Navette. She walked up the stairway 80 meters to the Abbey after stopping at the cemetery and St. Peter's along the way. She toured all the levels of the Abbey and then walked down via the fortifications, towers and outer wall while watching the tide slowly return. She walked several kilometers back along the bridge and causeway to view the dam across the Couesnon River and then took the bus back to Villedieu les Poeles and an IC to Paris.
