| Nora took the TGV to Marseilles and saw Pont du Gard en route. She arrived at our hotel to find the reservation was not made until the next day but was able to get ajoining rooms with a planned move to our suite on Thursday. She walked along La Canebiere to the Vieux Port and then to the Abbaye of St. Victor and crypt. From there she made the grueling climb to the top of the escarpment where the Cathedral of Notre Dame is located. She toured the ornate Cathedral and its crypt, and then took the tourist train back to the Old Port and walked to Fort St. Jean. |
