| Nora took a morning train to Arles and walked to various sites were Van Gogh painted. She climbed to the top of the ancient Roman arena and also toured the remains of the Roman theater. From there she took an afternoon train to Nimes where she saw its partially-restored Roman Arena as well as the ancient "domus". She then took a long walk to and thorugh the Les Jardins de la Fontaine park to see the fountains and hear the cicadas. Returning to the old city center she saw the clock tower and toured its pedestrian areas, and then visited the deconsecrated Jesuit chapel before shopping for souvenirs. |
