| Nora took an IC to Carcassonne and watched a canal boat be raised in a lock at the canal near the train station. She then walked through the town and across the Pont Vieux to the medieval Cite. There she toured the castle and its ramparts and viewed the surrounding countryside of the Languedoc-Roussillon. She spent the afternoon wandering through the old and new towns, and in the evening she rode in an 8-seat private rail car on a RENFE IC back from Narbonne. |
