| Nora took a morning train to Nice and left our luggage at our new hotel's storage room prior to taking a local train to Monaco. She rode a bus to the upper city in time to watch the changing of the guards in front of the Royal Palace. After lunch she visited the Cathedral and saw Princess Grace's tomb and walked through the gardens and downward to the port. She walked to the other side of the port and up to Monte Carlo to see the Casino prior to taking a train back to Nice. After checking into the hotel she walked to the Place Massena and then to the waterfront where she toured the beaches and the shrine for the terror victims. She walked to the old city and through various markets to the church of the Gesu and then had dinner at Gesu restaurant nearby. She returned to the hotel via the city's electric tram. |
